Midnight Calls is another beautiful collaboration between the prolific artists Ricardo Schneider, Lenny Loops, and 9ICK. A song marked by an intelligent harmony with dissonant chord progressions, which are little candy to the listener’s ears at the intro added to a concise and concrete melody.
These smooth pianos are played by 9ICK who insisted on the gentle melody repeatedly until it becomes a mantra that develops throughout the song with smooth variations immersing the listener in the narrative, without realizing the music lifts us to a deeper state of contemplation when the eloquent melodic lines of Ricardo Schneider’s guitar take over the environment expanding the space of the music enriched with his delays and reverb, all those melodic and harmonic elements are evidenced above a layer of soft and smooth drums and a deep bass.
Midnight Calls ends with a fade leaving us in an absolute state of tranquility where our only concern is pressing replay!
It is impossible not to highlight the fact that the music naturally brings the listener an opportunity to experience this intersection of culture as the artists represent Brazil, Italy, and Denmark, coming from different musical backgrounds such as blues, classical and ambient music flowing together in an amalgamation that transcends the attentive listener.
